AHMED + NATASHA | SAN FRANCISCO WEDDING

Tasha's parents hosted this extravagant wedding at their home south of San Francisco with views of the bay and SFO's busy airspace. Planner Isabella Boyer Sikaffy pulled off the impossible with this event and was unfazed by the 30-40 mile-per-hour gusts of wind. Photographer Craig Wolfrom of Sun Valley flew in to assist me and is responsible for the stunning closing image in this post.

EDWARD + VICTORIA | BIG ISLAND, HAWAII WEDDING

Aussie Ed and his love Victoria, now both of Manhattan, recently got married at the Four Seasons in Hualalai, Hawaii on the Big Island - where the Ironman triathalon event is held every year. Black volcanic rock meeting crystal clear water and waves is beautiful in itself, but the Four Seasons' property is a really special and pretty spot to be. Their rehearsal dinner was on the beach and included lots of cultural entertainment that was fun to photograph. Victoria and I have a date to walk their dog (who couldn't come to the wedding due to strict laws in the islands) in Central Park next month - where it will undoubtedly be cold and gray and as different from Hawaii as you can get.

A huge shout out to young talent Aaron Morris who flew in from San Francisco to tirelessly second shoot with me - always a trooper.

JUSTIN + LAURA | CALISTOGA, CALIFORNIA WEDDING

The day I met Justin and Laura for engagement pictures, we ended the night drinking wine beneath the Golden Gate Bridge on the edge of the bay on a beautiful clear night. Their small wedding at the Calistoga Ranch in Napa Valley was just as wonderful. It was emotional and intimate and a fitting occasion for them. Justin and his best friend Chris are two enormous bald guys that can be described as tequila-loving teddy bears. And they're both deserving of the sweet women that surround them.

MIA + JEREMY | VAIL / BEAVER CREEK, COLORADO WEDDING

My friend Nathan Welton, A.K.A. Dreamtime Images and I recently teamed up to shoot Mia and Jeremy's wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Beaver Creek. The magnitude of this wedding can be represented by the size of the wedding party alone; 28 people not including the bride and groom. I wanted so badly to be a guest at this reception. I think you'll see why.

HILLEL + HELEN | SAN DIEGO WEDDING

This summer has been my season to shoot Jewish weddings. It's been fun and hilarious and I had no idea what the "helicopter" was until I witnessed it on the dance floor at Hillel and Helen's wedding. It's always wonderful to be in San Diego because I get to visit my family. The following pictures were taken in the Gaslamp District and the Japanese Gardens in Balboa Park.

FOUNDATION CONFERENCE | DALLAS

Ben (right) and I during our newspaper days in New Mexico.

This November I'll be speaking at the Foundation Conference with my good friend Ben Chrisman, whom I worked with at a small newspaper in New Mexico. Through competitiveness, strong work ethics, vicious critiques and our close friendship, we pushed and grew together to become the photographers we are today. This relationship continues and It's Ben's advice that guides me the most. Please join us, and the loaded speaking line up in Dallas. www.fconference.com
